April 1999 e-Map Inc. founded by ZENRIN Co., Ltd., Dai Nippon Printing, and Hakuhodo.
July 1999 e-Map services launched.
April 2000 ZENRIN DataCom Co., Ltd. founded in Nishi-Kanda, Chiyoda-ku (by ZENRIN Co., Ltd. as a 100% shareholder).
June 2000 Launch of mobile map services.
December 2000 ZENRIN DataCom Co., Ltd. merges with e-Map Inc.; headquarters relocated to Ebisu, Shibuya-ku.
March 2001 Third-party allocation of shares (451,000,000 JPY in paid-in capital).
April 2001 Launch of free map site service.
December 2001 Launch of map software for PC.
October 2002 Relocation of headquarters to Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku.
December 2002 Third-party allocation of shares (566,500,000 JPY in paid-in capital)
October 2003 Unification of free map site service and map software services for PCs under the "Its-mo" brand.

April 2009 Absorption-type company split of Boford Japan, which changed its name to ZENRIN PROMO Co., Ltd. and became a subsidiary of ZENRIN DataCom.

July 2009 Acquisition of Knockin'on, Inc., making it a subsidiary of ZENRIN DataCom.
